The Atlantic City Guide is primarily focused on the area that is a short drive from central Atlantic City based on the premise that most visitors are not interested in making a long road trip out of the central Atlantic City area. For visitors unfamiliar with the Atlantic City area, here are a few tips on locations. The cities of Ventnor, Margate, Somers Point, and Ocean City, are all fairly close to Atlantic City and just a short drive south via 152 and the 9. The city of Brigantine is a short drive north via 187. The cities of Pleasantville and Absecon are a short drive inland toward the Atlantic City Airport via the Atlantic City Expressway. The city of Mays Landing is in the same direction just a bit past the airport via the Atlantic City Expressway and the 40. Some of the activities are in Egg Harbor which is also inland via the Atlantic City Expressway (or the 30) and the 50, and is about twice the distance to the Atlantic City Airport.
